Suncorp General Manager for Agribusiness Rod Davies said as Queensland’s largest company, Suncorp was pleased to be involved in an initiative that supported Queensland’s farmers.
“Our organisation found its roots as the Agricultural Bank more than a century ago by working in partnership to build rural communities,” Mr Davies said.
“Today Suncorp’s commitment to serving Queensland’s rural communities is stronger than ever with our company having the greatest reach of any bank in Queensland into rural and regional areas.
“Our agribusiness managers live and work in the local rural communities they serve, and work in partnership with the farmers to help provide them with the right solutions for their business.
“The AgForce campaign is one more way we can work to help our Queensland farmers and ensure they have a future.”

Wesfarmers Federation Insurance (WFI)

ONE of the nation’s most respected companies - Wesfarmers Federation Insurance (WFI) has thrown its weight behind the “Every Family Needs a Farmer” campaign.
WFI chief executive officer Howard King said the company had looked after rural communities for over 85 years, and as an alliance partner of AgForce was proud to be involved.
“WFI not only looks after farmers but also many small businesses in towns and cities throughout Queensland.
“So this is a great opportunity for us to assist in reconnecting urban and rural markets,” Mr King said.
“We pride ourselves on providing a personal face to face service, and as such have representatives located throughout Queensland and regional Australia.
“So we are very much a part of these communities.
“This campaign is an excellent and important initiative by AgForce. WFI’s support of this campaign confirms our commitment to rural Australia,” Mr King said.

Australian Primary Superannuation Fund

AGFORCE is delighted Australian Primary Superannuation Fund (APSF) is a foundation partner for the bold “Every Family Needs A Farmer” campaign.
APSF chief executive officer Lachlan Baird said the superannuation fund was pleased to be associated with AgForce in the “Every Family Needs a Farmer” advertising campaign.
“APSF is the national superannuation fund for rural and regional Australians and grew out of the needs of the farming community,” Mr Baird said.
“As a superannuation fund we help provide for the retirement of our members but this campaign provides us with the opportunity to do something for farmers now.”
Mr Baird said by supporting the campaign, APSF was supporting the industry members both now and in retirement.
“The positive image of farmers in urban centres is essential for the continued growth and development of this important sector of the Australian economy,” he said.

A COMPANY well known for its loyalty and commitment to rural Queensland has thrown its full support behind the campaign.
Wideland Insurance Brokers chief executive officer Keith Smith said Wideland was delighted to be a part of “Every Family Needs A Farmer”.
“Wideland has been providing specialised insurance advice to rural Queenslanders for years and we believe this campaign will do much to help bridge the divide between the city and country,” Mr Smith said.
“This is a very positive campaign by AgForce as we believe it will help educate consumers about the fact that farmers not only produce food, but care for their land and their livestock, use modern technology and research and also run a business.
“The campaign will also highlight the great contribution farmers make to Queensland and Wideland is thrilled to be involved as Wideland is very much a part of rural Queensland with offices located at Toowoomba, Emerald and Goondiwindi.”

Blueprint for the Bush project
 
The Queensland Government has joined the Every Family Needs A Farmer campaign Through the Blueprint for the Bush's Revitalising Rural Image Initiative Promotional Campaign. This campaign will promote positive aspects of rural life and the economic, social and lifestyle benefits of rural living.
 
The campaign aims to achieve:
  • increased community pride and morale in rural communities throughout Queensland;
  • stronger networks between rural and urban populations; and
  • changes in some of the misconceptions and beliefs held by urban people about rural communities and lifestyles.
